I should have never gone to a different dentist, as my dentist is the kindest, most sympathetic person...
He found no cavity, crack, etc. He took several x-rays, including a panoramic, and found a cyst (he suspects) above the painful tooth....he wants me to see an oral surgeon.
He also suspects that I have a sinus infection which is adding to the pressure/discomfort, so I'm on antibiotics and decongestant.

Pays to have a second opinion.
Toothaches rank right up there with ear aches! It's hard to function when you have that kind of pain. I hope you feel good soon!

Let's hope the antibiotics do the trick. I've been to the dentist several times when it turned out to be a sinus infection. Had quite a few root canals and those rank right up there with getting one's fingernails ripped off. Get well soon, dear Kit!

Oh yes, a tooth can rule your life when you don't want it to! I hope you see the oral surgeon real fast and he gets that cyst out of there! Your sinus will thank you too!
